2021 off to a Cracking Start

What a great start to Season 2021 for the Washington CC.

After 5 games, the Wash are 3W and 2L.   It's early days for 2021, but so far there's been some magnificent batting performances and several bowlers are putting their hands up and delivering, and there's been some awesome efforts in the field too (with one catch this weekend just gone that will live long in the memory).

This year has also seen the return of 2 of our favourite batsman:  Brian White (I'm counting all my runs) and Mikey Turner (past Chairman, and wine guru).  Fantastic to see these two legends out on the pitch and we hope to see them again real soon.

And this week coming we will be holding our first Club Day in at least 2 years.  In fact it's probably three.  More importantly, we will be outdoors for it, on what could be a new home ground for The Wash.  Yes - that's right... after many years of holding our home games at North Midds, the Wash are very seriously considering the move to Hornsey CC just next door.   So... please come on down on Sunday 16th May (be careful about where you park your car to avoid a ticket) and take a look at what could be our new home ground.  We'll be playing some cricket and dishing out some 2020 trophies... and there's a bar with beer!  What more do you need?!  We hope to see you there.
