 The year just gone, 2023, was quite simply a massive year for the Washington Cricket Club.
We celebrated the first 50 years in style in The Long Room at The Kia Oval on the 14th July. And then 2 days later we held a superbly attended Club Day at Hornsey Cricket club. Couple that with many new and exciting faces joining the Wash ranks, some fantastic wins (and gut-wrenching losses, such is life), and a newly decorated Home of Cricket (The Washington Pub) where we now have a dedicated commemorative wall all our own, and we can quite confidently say it was one of the best years in the clubs history! And then... to top it off, long time club stalwart and current Skipper Max Murrain and his better half Elaine, brought triplets into this world, just to round out an utterly phenomenal year! As Max announced... recruitment for 2040 looks good! So - where to from here? I got a fair idea that we're definitely not over the hill... so stick around for super good fun for all the family and make your mark on the next generation of this amazing club! #thebestsocialcricketclubinlondon
